Best Buddies Illinois is excited to welcome our new Program Supervisor, Shannon Hautman!
A native of Indianapolis, IN, Shannon completed her undergraduate education at Ball State in Muncie, IN before coming to Chicago to complete her masters degree at Loyola.
She participated in Americorps, giving a year of service where she worked with Immigrant and Refugee population
Shannon continued as an assistant ESL teacher with Asian Human Services, and her most recent work was through Chicago’s Beacon Street Gallery, where she was the Director of Education and also served as an Adjunct Faculty member at City Colleges of Chicago teaching English.
Shannon is thrilled join BBIL and to be part of an organization advocating for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Her goal is to make a positive impact and to inspire others to do their best in the services they provide to people with IDD!
