April 30 - Best Buddies Illinois held the first-ever Chicago Public Schools Spring Fling at Walter Payton College Prep! Two hundred participants from schools around the city joined together for picture taking, eating, and dancing!
Students came dressed to the hilt in their dresses and suits, complete with corsages and boutonnieres made by Payton Buddies with donated roses.
DJ Music by Mark helped keep the energy up all night long, playing popular songs, and of course, classics like the YMCA and Cha-Cha Slide.
All of the party-goers were given a special surprise when Benny the Bull made his grand entrance with one of the Chicago Bulls Luvabulls! Benny danced with all of the students, posed for pictures, and gave out t-shirts.
The Spring Fling was definitely a night to remember, especially for our Buddies who oftentimes do not have the opportunity to go to Prom at their own schools.
